This maps shows Goshawks nesting sites within a certain area of Tongass National Park. These nesting sites represent areas that logging will have to avoid. The purpose of this exercise to determine the area of land that can be logged in order to determine the value of land.

This map shows a GIS map of toxic sites in Louisiana and which ones need to be cleaned up. This is eye opening to see how many of these toxic sites still exist.

Creating Reports

Today we generated a report as if we were a real estate agent. We narrowed down the properties that our client was searching for and created a query to display properties with 3 bedrooms, that were less than $175,000, and had three bedrooms. We then learned to create an attractive report that displayed this information as if we were presenting it to our client.
